This Privacy Policy applies to the apSAYRI passenger app, the apSAYRI Driver driver app, and related websites and backend services published under apsayri.chatcielo.com and apsayri.com.
1. Who we are
apSAYRI provides digital tools for ride requests, driver operations, user verification, notifications, customer support, trip coordination, and related mobility services.
2. Information we collect
- Account and profile data: name, phone number, email address, password hash, profile image, preferred language, and account role.
- Driver verification and vehicle data: identity number, identity documents, selfie or biometric verification data, vehicle details, license plate, vehicle category, and supporting documents when required for onboarding or compliance.
- Location data: precise location for passengers to request rides, set pickup and drop-off points, and use map-based features; precise and background location for drivers while online or during trip operations to dispatch nearby trips, support navigation, safety functions, and trip status updates.
- Trip and service data: pickup and destination addresses, route and timing events, trip history, trip status, ratings, support events, cancellations, OTP or verification events related to trips, and fare or payment status.
- Device and technical data: push notification tokens, app version, device-level technical events, network information, and limited logs needed for security, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
- Communications and uploaded content: support messages, chat attachments, photos, files, and other information you submit when contacting support or updating your account.
- Optional feature permissions: microphone access for voice-related search features in the passenger app; camera and photo/file access in the driver app for identity verification, document capture, and account updates.
3. How we use personal data
- To create, authenticate, and manage user and driver accounts.
- To match passengers with nearby drivers and operate requested trips.
- To verify driver identity, vehicle information, and platform eligibility.
- To calculate fares, manage trip records, and support refunds, complaints, or dispute review.
- To send notifications, OTPs, operational alerts, and service messages.
- To provide customer support, detect abuse or fraud, and improve service stability and safety.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, safety, and regulatory obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information only when necessary to operate the service, including:
- Between passengers and drivers: information needed to complete a trip, such as pickup context, route context, profile name, and operational contact details where required.
- Service providers and infrastructure partners: hosting, cloud messaging, authentication, maps/geolocation, analytics or diagnostics, storage, and customer support providers acting on our instructions.
- Payment, messaging, and verification providers: providers involved in transaction processing, OTP delivery, WhatsApp or communication routing, and fraud or identity checks where applicable.
- Authorities or legal processes: when required by applicable law, regulation, lawful request, safety incident handling, or protection of rights.
5. Location data disclosure
The passenger app uses location to help users choose pickup and destination points, estimate routes, and improve dispatch accuracy. The driver app uses foreground and background location while the driver is online or handling trips so the platform can assign nearby trips, update live trip progress, support safety workflows, and improve reliability of ride operations.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce platform rules. Some records may be kept after account closure when required for safety, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or regulatory purposes.
7. Security
We apply administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure of personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to maintain safeguards appropriate to a mobility platform.
8. Your choices and rights
- You may update certain account details from within the app.
- You may manage device permissions such as location, camera, microphone, and notifications from your device settings.
- You may request account deletion or closure using the in-app option or the public instructions at /account-deletion.
- You may contact us to request access, correction, or review of your data, subject to applicable law and operational verification.
9. Children
The service is not intended for children who cannot legally use the platform under applicable local rules. If we learn that personal data was submitted in violation of those rules, we may restrict or delete the account.
10. International processing
Some supporting providers may process data in jurisdictions other than the user's location. When that happens, we expect those providers to protect the data in line with contractual and operational safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates may also be reflected in the apps or service notifications. The latest published version on our website is the controlling version for public reference.
